pH Meter

pH meter provides a value on a scale from 0 to 14 where 7 is neutral, less than 7 is acidic, and greater than 7 is alkaline.It is important to test the pH--the level of acidity or alkalinity--of water. The pH level of water can provide information on potential contamination. Consequently, testing the pH of water can be an important public health precaution. There are several different methods of testing a solution’s pH – a digital meter, litmus paper, or reagent drops can be used to find the pH value of acidic or alkaline water. Each one of these methods works in a different way and each one is attached with different capabilities and precautions.

EC/TDS/ Temperature

Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) are the total amount of mobile charged ions, including minerals, salts or metals, dissolved in a given volume of water, and expressed in units of mg per unit volume of water (mg/L), also referred to as parts per million (ppm)."Dissolved solids" refer to any minerals, salts, metals, cations or anions dissolved in water. This includes anything present in water other than the pure water (H20) molecule and suspended solids. (Suspended solids are any particles/substances that are neither dissolved nor settled in the water, such as wood pulp.

ORP

ORPstands for oxidation-reduction potential, which is a measure, in millivolts, of the tendency of a chemical substance to oxidize or reduce another chemical sub- stance. Oxidation is the loss of electrons by an atom, mole- cule, or ion.ORP is a term used frequently in the water treatment & food processing industry.
